Effective Date: June 25, 2026
Macha ("we", "our", or "us") is a futuristic, video-first, vibes-based social platform where people post videos, reels, photos, and Stories, go live, join Tribes, send messages, and earn and spend an in-app virtual currency called guap. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices and rights you have when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). Please read it carefully.
To create and operate your account, we collect your name, email address, profile photo, username, bio, and other profile details you provide. You can sign in using Google (OAuth), and we receive basic account identifiers from that provider to authenticate you. We also collect your date of birth or age, which we use to confirm eligibility and to derive your "generation" for content discovery.
We collect the content you create, upload, broadcast, or share through the Service, including:
With your permission, we access your device camera and microphone to let you capture photos and videos, broadcast live, and record voice messages and audio. We access the camera and microphone only while you are actively using a feature that requires them.
With your permission, we access your device's photo and video library so you can choose existing photos and videos to post or share on the Service.
We automatically collect technical and usage information such as your IP address, device identifiers, operating system, app version, and in-app interaction and analytics data describing how you use the Service.
We collect diagnostic and crash information to help us detect, troubleshoot, and fix errors and to keep the Service stable and secure.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your data for cross-app advertising tracking.
When you go live (solo or as a panel), your broadcast is visible to others according to the visibility you choose — public, Tribe, exclusive, or invite-only. Live broadcasts may be recorded and offered as replays that other users can watch later. You are responsible for broadcasting lawfully and in line with our community rules. Please keep in mind that anything you say, show, or share during a live broadcast may be seen by your audience and may persist in a recording.
Direct messages and chats (including text, voice notes, media, stickers, and reactions) are private between participants and are not used for advertising. However, to protect our community, messages may be reviewed, scanned, or moderated — whether automatically or in response to a report — to detect and address abuse, harassment, illegal content, and other violations of our policies. Do not use messaging to share content that is unlawful or that endangers others.
Guap is an in-app virtual currency you can earn and spend through activity and engagement on Macha. To run the guap economy, we process information about your earning and spending activity, balances, missions, and related transactions. Guap exists only inside Macha: it has no real-world monetary value, is not redeemable for cash, and is not transferable outside Macha. We may adjust, expire, or reset guap balances to address abuse or otherwise at our discretion.
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as described below, and all service providers are bound by confidentiality obligations. We work with the following categories of providers to operate the Service:
We may also disclose information when we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the public. This includes mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE/CSAM) material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to help protect your personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information and to respond promptly to any issues.
Macha is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users under 18 should use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. We have a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
You can report CSAE in-app using the report button available on any post, profile, or live broadcast, or by emailing machasupport@gmail.com with the subject line "CSAE Report." You may also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline. When we become aware of such content, we remove it, ban the account, preserve evidence, and report it to NCMEC and the appropriate authorities. For full details, see our Child Safety Standards page.
You can access and update much of your information directly in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at machasupport@gmail.com.
You can permanently delete your account at any time, directly within the app, via Settings → "Delete Account." This permanently removes your profile and associated content from our active systems. Step-by-step instructions are also documented at /delete-account.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data from our active systems within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or preserve evidence in connection with safety reports (such as CSAE reports).
To be clear about our limits: Macha does not collect your precise or background location, and Macha does not access your device contacts.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the Service. Your continued use of Macha after an update means you accept the revised policy.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us directly:
